An explicit statement of what this site is (and firmly isn't) built for.
This page is general education, not a diagnosis. If you're dealing with persistent or severe symptoms, please see a doctor — lifestyle tracking can be a useful complement to medical care, never a substitute for it. Children have different nutritional needs from adults, and growth, development and medical decisions for kids should always be guided by a pediatrician.
THE FAD's scoring model, weightings and recommendations are all built around adult physiology and lifestyle patterns. It is not designed, tested, or intended for use in scoring or guiding a child's diet, sleep or exercise.
Some broad ideas — favouring whole foods over ultra-processed options, prioritising sleep, encouraging regular movement — are reasonable for any age. The specific amounts, ratios and targets are entirely different for growing children, and shouldn't be inferred from adult-focused content like this site.
Children have different caloric, micronutrient and growth needs than adults, and restrictive approaches inappropriate for an adult can be genuinely harmful for a developing child. We'd rather say clearly that this product isn't for that use case than let a parent guess.
For anything related to your child's diet, growth or health, please work with a pediatrician or pediatric dietitian — not general adult wellness content, including this site.
